Korea to Fully Expand Humanitarian Trade with Iran... 1st Working Group Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The first virtual meeting of the working group to expand humanitarian trade between Korea and Iran will be held on the 18th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
Both sides agreed to launch the working group for expanding humanitarian trade during the Korea-Iran high-level virtual meeting at the end of July.
In this meeting, presided over by directors-general, discussions will be held on △ consultations regarding priority export items to Iran △ Q&A on trade procedures △ measures to activate the operation of the working group, and other matters related to promoting practical trade.
The Korean side will include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, while the Iranian side will be attended by the Food and Drug Administration and Ministry of Health.

An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained, "Our government will continue organic cooperation among relevant ministries and active consultations with Iran to support Korean companies in pioneering markets within Iran for humanitarian goods such as pharmaceuticals and medical devices."
