Gwangju City Prepares 'Emergency Medical Treatment Measures' in Response to Collective Medical Staff Strike
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 13th that it will minimize the gap in medical services during the collective strike of the medical community on the 14th by maintaining an emergency medical system centered on emergency medical institutions, public medical institutions, and hospital-level or higher medical institutions.
To maintain a smooth emergency medical system during the collective strike period, Gwangju has been operating an emergency medical countermeasure situation room in the city and autonomous districts since the 12th, thoroughly monitoring closed medical institutions and inspecting emergency room-operating medical institutions to ensure emergency medical care.
To minimize the medical service gap caused by this collective strike, a medical treatment order was issued on the 7th targeting 955 medical institutions at the clinic level, and about 230 clinic-level medical institutions were identified as scheduled to be closed on the 14th due to summer vacations and other reasons.
Information on hospitals and clinics open during the medical community's collective strike period can be found on the city and autonomous district websites, the Emergency Medical Portal, and the Emergency Medical Information Provision app.
