Songpa-gu Delivers Seasonal Fruit Baskets to Vulnerable Children to Overcome COVID-19
Spreading a Culture of Care Together Through Corporate Social Giving
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) will hold a 'Sweet Basket' delivery ceremony for vulnerable children overcoming COVID-19 and dreaming on the 12th.
This delivery ceremony is an event prepared to encourage vulnerable children who have long stayed at home due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and summer vacation but have difficulty receiving family care.
For 160 children, three local companies (Boneco, Choroksup, Reclean) prepared 'Sweet Baskets' containing seasonal fruits worth a total of 8 million KRW, and Songpa-gu plans to deliver them along with supportive messages.
In addition, 10 old desks and chairs (worth about 1 million KRW) in the Macheon Dream Center will be replaced to provide a safe environment for children using the center.
These companies' social contribution activities have continued since 2017. Every year, they have held 'Heart-throbbing Day' for children to watch musicals and children's plays, and next year, they emphasized helping children establish a positive self-image by allowing them to participate in actual theater and musical stages.
