Gyeongsan City's 12th 'Honor Society' Member is Seo Young-su, CEO of Seogwang Farm
CEO Seo Recorded as 'Gyeongbuk 119th' in High-Value Donor Group Exceeding 100 Million Won
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongsan City announced on the 12th that Seo Young-su, CEO of Seogwang Farm located in Aplyang-eup, has joined the 'Honor Society,' a group of individual high-value donors who have donated more than 100 million won.
Seo's membership is the 12th in Gyeongsan and the 119th in Gyeongbuk. The signing ceremony was held on the 11th at the small conference room of Gyeongsan City Hall, attended by Mayor Choi Young-jo and Shin Hyun-soo, chairman of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.
Seogwang Farm has been engaged in pig farming for 40 years, and based on this extensive experience, it has prioritized improving the quality of pigs as well as enhancing the surrounding environment of pig farms. Since being designated as an antibiotic-free certified farm, it has been playing the role of a 'role model' for pig farming in Gyeongsan, according to the city.
CEO Seo Young-su said, "I decided to join the Honor Society to contribute even a little during these difficult times due to COVID-19 and the recent prolonged rainy season," adding, "I will continue activities that can help local residents."
Mayor Choi Young-jo of Gyeongsan said, "Congratulations on becoming the first Honor Society member in the livestock sector in Gyeongsan," and responded, "I sincerely thank the CEO for making a great decision to help our city move toward becoming a city of good sharing."
