Baedal Minjok Launches Efforts to Restore Flood Damage and Assist Disaster Victims
Distribution of Supplies to Flood Victims through Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Woowa Brothers, the operator of the delivery app 'Baedal Minjok', announced on the 12th that it will participate in helping disaster victims affected by the heavy rain.
Woowa Brothers provided daily necessities and food and beverages twice on the 10th and 11th through Hope Bridge (National Disaster Relief Association), a specialized disaster relief fundraising organization. First, they prepared and delivered food supplies so that disaster victims whose houses were destroyed and home appliances submerged could easily have meals. The amount is enough for 1,500 disaster victims to have meals. These food supplies will be delivered by Hope Bridge to temporary shelters for disaster victims nationwide.
In addition, Woowa Brothers delivered daily necessities to volunteers engaged in flood recovery and support for disaster victims. They prepared about 200 each of toothpaste, toothbrushes, and towels and handed them to the volunteers. Together with Hope Bridge, they are also conducting a fundraising campaign to help disaster victims. By clicking the banner within the Baedal Minjok app, users are connected to the Hope Bridge fundraising page. The collected donations will be used to support housing damage such as flooding and destruction, and to help those facing livelihood difficulties due to the flood.
