According to the business community on the 12th, Samsung’s new hires have recently completed the final recruitment procedures such as physical examinations and have been notified of their start dates. They will begin work after completing orientation (OT), Samsung introductory training (SVP), and in-depth training by business division.
It is customary for new employees at Samsung Electronics and their parents to receive letters from management, flower baskets, and gold-embossed business cards for new employees as gifts at home just before joining. Samsung Electronics plans to send out congratulatory gift sets this week.
This year, Vice Chairman Kim Ki-nam will send the letters under his name as CEO. In the letter, Kim wrote, "Congratulations sincerely on your child’s acceptance to Samsung Electronics," and added, "We deeply thank the parents who have raised your children to become future leaders of Samsung Electronics and sent them to us."
He also wrote, "Samsung Electronics will continue to grow relentlessly based on the world’s best technology and talent. Now, together with your child, who will be the protagonist, we will create a new history."
In addition to Samsung Electronics, other electronics affiliates such as Samsung Display, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Samsung SDS are sending congratulatory messages in the same format. Last week, new hires at Samsung Display received their gift sets first.
