A 'Sister City Agricultural Products' Section Established on Guro-gu Official Website
Sales of products from 6 cities and counties including Goesan-gun, Chungbuk; Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk; and Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon... Orders possible without membership registration... District offices and community centers also promote to residents
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is promoting agricultural products from sister cities using the district office website.
On the 12th, Guro-gu announced that it has created a ‘Sister Cities Agricultural Products’ section on the district office website to help farmers in sister cities struggling due to COVID-19 and to provide residents with healthy food.
In response to the COVID-19 era, Guro-gu sought ways to support the sale of agricultural products from sister cities online instead of the offline direct transaction markets previously held.
Accordingly, a ‘Sister Cities Agricultural Products’ section was created where online shopping malls of each sister city can be viewed at a glance.
The ‘Sister Cities Agricultural Products’ section can be accessed through the ‘Frequently Used Services’ at the top right of the district office website. Through this, visitors can access online shopping malls of six sister cities: Goesan-gun, Chungbuk; Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk; Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon; Haenam-gun, Jeonnam; Danyang-gun, Chungbuk; and Namwon-si, Jeonbuk.
At the sister cities’ online shopping malls, various seasonal agricultural products and regional specialties such as rice, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, and salted napa cabbage can be found. Orders can be placed without membership registration.
Guro-gu plans to promote this to residents through each department of the district office and community service centers to ensure timely sales of sister cities’ agricultural products.
