The average rainfall over three days across the county was 365.3mm, with Wicheon-myeon recording a record-breaking 488mm of heavy rain. The concentrated heavy rain caused one casualty, 189 cases of public facility damage including roads and river burial, and 10 cases of private property damage including destroyed houses and flooded crops, totaling 199 cases of facility damage.
In particular, they visited the flood damage sites in Galkye Village, Buksang-myeon, Hwarigol, Wicheon-myeon, and Sanyang Village, Goje-myeon, which were severely affected, delivering consolation goods and listening to the opinions of the affected residents.
Chairman Kim Jong-du said, "I extend my deepest condolences to the residents affected by the flood damage caused by this heavy rain, and we will do our best to ensure thorough damage investigation and prompt recovery at the flood sites."
