On the 11th, the Emergency Response Committee held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office, stating, "We can no longer trust Chairman Bae, who is under various allegations of corruption and illegality," and demanded that Chairman Bae step down.
The committee criticized, "Despite the difficulties faced by the public and small business owners due to disasters, Chairman Bae has not issued a single message of consolation expressing concern for the safety of 7 million small business owners, nor a statement requesting government support," adding, "Even at this moment, he is fully engaged in rescue efforts solely out of selfish desire to retain his position."
The committee also said, "The very act of insisting on completing his term despite all the social criticism and humiliation faced by the Federation is proof that he only considers the Federation as a means for personal use," and added that on the 3rd, they submitted a request to convene an extraordinary general meeting to the Federation to vote on the dismissal of Chairman Bae.
