Naver Supports Cloud Environment for Small and Medium Enterprises in Gangwon Region
NBP-Gangwon Innovation Center, Building Cloud-Based IT Environment
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Naver Business Platform (NBP) announced on the 10th that it will build a cloud-based IT environment and create a smart work environment to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups in the Gangwon region, in collaboration with the Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center (Gangwon Innovation Center).
The Gangwon Innovation Center supports a total of about 1,400 companies, spanning various industries such as agriculture and fisheries, healthcare, and leisure. Most of these companies provide mobile commerce services based on online platforms, creating a demand for a stable yet flexible IT environment.
The Gangwon Innovation Center has partnered with Naver Cloud Platform’s "Greenhouse" program to enable these companies to offer services on a stable platform based on the cloud. Greenhouse is a startup support program by Naver Cloud Platform that provides discounted credits for using all Naver Cloud Platform products, as well as opportunities for joint marketing and education.
For example, a company providing an artificial intelligence (AI) medical solution that automatically diagnoses patients’ diseases can safely store and analyze the big data required for disease interpretation in a cloud environment. Additionally, a business selling local specialty products online can apply cloud-based services to ensure that photos of the products taken are optimized and displayed well across customers’ various devices.
