Dongwon F&B Launches 3 Types of 100% Handmade Dog Treats 'NutriPlan Gourmet Treat'
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Dongwon F&B's pet food specialist brand NutriPlan announced on the 10th that it has launched three types of 100% handmade snacks for dogs called 'NutriPlan Gourmet Treats.'
The three NutriPlan Gourmet Treats varieties are Chicken Breast & Salmon Skin Roll, Beef Tendon & Salmon Skin Roll, and Pig Ear & Tuna Roll. These premium pet foods are made with sashimi-grade tuna and salmon carefully selected by Dongwon Industry, the largest seafood company in Korea. Each contains omega-3 rich tuna and salmon skin, which help improve skin and coat health.
Additionally, these are 100% handmade snacks produced directly in a pet food-dedicated factory certified with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points). Carefully selected chicken breast, pig ears, and beef tendon are individually wrapped with tuna and salmon skin, then dehydrated to preserve the original taste and texture of the ingredients. In particular, the chewy texture of pig ears and beef tendon allows dogs to chew for a long time, helping relieve stress and maintain oral health.
Before launching the three NutriPlan Gourmet Treats, Dongwon F&B pre-released the new products on the crowdfunding platform 'Wadiz' and conducted crowdfunding. Crowdfunding is a method where entrepreneurs with creative product ideas raise funds from the public, and if the target amount is exceeded, the product is launched. This method has the advantage of gauging consumer response. Dongwon F&B succeeded in raising 759% of the target amount during the two-week funding period starting June 30, leading to the official product launch.
A Dongwon F&B representative said, "We used crowdfunding to communicate directly with pet owners, exchange feedback, and create the product together," adding, "We will continue to communicate with pet owners to become a brand that produces high-quality pet food."
