[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) held an emergency meeting on the 9th to urgently inspect the damage caused by heavy rain and the response to Typhoon No. 5 'Jangmi,' as nationwide damage continues due to ongoing heavy rain and the approach of Typhoon Jangmi.
Presided over by Jin Young, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and head of the CDSCH, the meeting was attended by deputy heads of 17 metropolitan cities and provinces, as well as directors of relevant departments from 11 ministries and agencies, to check the preparedness and damage status of local governments and related ministries and discuss measures to prevent further damage.
