On the 9th, JTBC's 'Banggu-seok 1-yeol' featured a special segment on actor Park Hae-joon, who starred in the recently concluded JTBC drama 'The World of the Married.' During the broadcast, Park Hae-joon talked about 'Believer' and 'Silence.'
Appearing under the ID 'Sappajoea,' Park Hae-joon said, "'Falling in love is not a crime,' I didn't expect that line to spread like a trend. I sincerely said it," adding, "I never anticipated it. They even made a song out of it."
'The World of the Married' was his first leading role in a drama. When asked if he expected it to be a hit, he honestly replied, "I had higher expectations than usual dramas."
In particular, Park Hae-joon confessed about his appearance in 'The World of the Married,' "I looked up the original work ('Doctor Foster'), but I thought I couldn't do it. I was worried about how people around me would think of me, and since it dealt with marital issues differently from other villains, I really looked bad."
He continued, "I wondered if I could escape from this drama, so I called director Byun Young-joo," explaining, "She was about to start a new film, so I thought I might use that as a reason to decline."
Director Byun said, "When I asked what he was worried about, he said it was a 'bad image,' so I told him it wouldn't be worse than what he had done before and to go for it," adding, "But I watched the first episode of 'The World of the Married' with expectations and realized he might be worse than a drug-dealing gangster," which brought laughter.
