[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] BNK Busan Bank is recruiting the 2nd batch for its fintech startup incubation program, ‘BNK Fintech Lab.’
Fintech refers to financial services based on advanced information technologies such as mobile, SNS services, and big data.
BNK Fintech Lab is a program designed to create a regional fintech industry ecosystem and develop global innovative business models that can coexist with the fintech industry. The Fintech Lab discovers promising fintech startups and supports their growth through a specialized accelerating program.
The recruitment target is startups and new companies in the fintech sector. Applications are accepted until the 21st, and about 10 companies will be finally selected by the end of this month through document screening and face-to-face evaluation. The operation period for the 2nd batch of BNK Fintech Lab is a total of six months until February next year.
Selected fintech startups will receive support through various startup incubation programs, including ▲discovering cooperation models with BNK Financial Group affiliates ▲specialized fintech acceleration ▲1:1 customized mentoring ▲Demo Day for investment attraction ▲domestic and international market development.
A Busan Bank official said, “Through BNK Fintech Lab, we will create innovative business models that can coexist by linking the bank’s digital business with fintech startups.”
