Suncheon City Council Holds Meeting with Daegu Suseong District Council
Creating a Platform for Sharing Policies in the Social Welfare Sector

The visit by the Suseong District Council was part of Suncheon City's comparative study tour schedule, and several council members including Chairman Heo Yu-in attended the meeting to share welfare policies between the two cities and districts.
In particular, members of the Suseong District Council Social Welfare Committee (Chairman Kim Doo-hyun) showed great interest after receiving an explanation about the ‘9988 Shelter,’ a communal living space for elderly people living alone operated by Suncheon City.
Kim Doo-hyun, chairman of the Suseong District Council, said, “Suncheon City has many things to learn in the field of social welfare, including the ‘9988 Shelter.’ This was a good opportunity to consider policies that can be applied to Suseong District.”

In response, Heo Yu-in, chairman of the Suncheon City Council, said, “I believe this meeting has provided an opportunity for mutual cooperation between the two councils,” and added, “We will open the door to exchanges between local councils in Yeongnam and Honam regions through continuous policy sharing with the Suseong District Council in the future.”
