According to Chungnam Province on the 5th, Mr. A, who entered the country through Incheon Airport from Brazil on the 29th of last month, visited the Dangjin City Health Center due to symptoms such as a slight fever during the self-quarantine period and underwent a COVID-19 test on the 4th, which resulted in a positive diagnosis.
Mr. A was tested due to a slight fever and is currently isolated at a health center dormitory operated by Dangjin City.
The province and health authorities plan to hospitalize Mr. A at Cheonan Medical Center and conduct additional epidemiological investigations. Since Mr. A was confirmed positive during self-quarantine, there are no close contacts identified.
Meanwhile, as of 11 a.m. on the 5th, the total number of overseas arrivals confirmed with COVID-19 in Chungnam is 33.
