Public Hearing for Resident Feedback on the Amendment to the Enforcement Decree of the Pohang Earthquake Damage Relief Act

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on the 5th that it will hold a public hearing at 2 p.m. on the 6th at Pohang City Hall to gather residents' opinions on the amendment to the Enforcement Decree of the Pohang Earthquake Damage Relief Act.
Ahead of the implementation of support measures for Pohang earthquake damage relief, the enforcement decree, which stipulates matters delegated by law, includes the criteria for determining the support targets and support funds, recognition of victims, and procedures for payment of support funds.
The public hearing will proceed with explanations of the amendment to the enforcement decree by officials from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and damage investigation experts, followed by a Q&A session with attending residents. The ministry plans to discuss the residents' opinions collected through the public hearing with related government departments. Inquiries regarding attendance at the public hearing can be made to the Disaster Prevention Policy Division of Pohang City Hall.

Meanwhile, institutions, organizations, or individuals who have opinions on the amendment to the enforcement decree can submit written opinions to the National Participation Legislation Center or the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy by the 13th.
