Naver, NBP, and Korea Education & Research Information Service Sign Business Agreement to Foster AI Ecosystem
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver and Naver Business Platform (NBP) announced on the 4th that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) to foster an artificial intelligence (AI) education ecosystem and improve remote education.
They pledged mutual cooperation to create an AI education ecosystem for the Fourth Industrial Revolution era and the post-COVID-19 era by ▲strengthening teachers' AI capabilities ▲jointly hosting the 'AI Student Experience Contest' using Naver Clova's cloud machine learning development platform (NSML) and Naver Cloud ▲introducing and applying the latest technologies such as AI and Clova Dubbing.
KERIS plans to hold the first online AI experience contest for high school students in Korea using Naver's NSML to introduce and expand the application of Naver's AI technology in the education sector. NBP will provide cloud infrastructure services for the AI experience contest.
Park Hyeja, President of the Korea Education and Research Information Service, said, "This agreement will lay the foundation for all citizens to easily utilize artificial intelligence and serve as an opportunity for AI education to take root in school settings."
Han Seongsuk, CEO of Naver, stated, "Through the agreement with KERIS, Naver can utilize the latest AI technologies it has researched so far to nurture future talents," adding, "We will continue to actively support the revitalization of software and AI education."
