SKT's AI 'NUGU' Utilized in DGIST Lectures
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] SK Telecom's artificial intelligence (AI) platform 'NUGU' will be used as AI lecture material at universities. Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) signed a business agreement with SK Telecom on the 3rd to foster talent in the AI technology field.
This agreement was established to facilitate various collaborations necessary for nurturing AI talent, such as developing AI technology-related curricula and exchanges between AI experts and outstanding talents.
Through this agreement, DGIST will utilize e-learning content managed and operated by SK as supplementary materials for project assignments in undergraduate data science courses. Lecture content on T-Brain Music AI and the NUGU AI service platform, among the technological content owned by SK Telecom, will also be used for undergraduate research. Various educational collaborations will also be conducted, such as using educational content related to the latest research trends in multiple fields as supplementary materials for graduate courses.
Hong Seungtae, Dean of DGIST Graduate School, said, "We expect to provide more substantial AI education by actively utilizing SKT's online content through this agreement."

Shin Sanggyu, Head of SK Telecom Corporate Culture Center, said, "Over the past few years, SKT has significantly strengthened its AI organization and secured AI capabilities through active collaboration with external parties. We expect that this cooperation with DGIST will invigorate the domestic AI ecosystem."
