Boseong County Strengthens Communication with 'Ask the County Governor Anything' Initiative
Promoting a Vibrant Workplace with Morning Cheer Messages for All Employees and In-House Support Broadcasts
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong County has strengthened communication by creating spaces such as ‘Ask the County Governor Anything’ as opportunities for face-to-face contact among employees decreased due to COVID-19.
‘Ask the County Governor Anything’ is expected to provide a friendly and comfortable communication channel between the county governor and employees by having the governor directly answer employees' questions.
On the 3rd, Boseong County, Jeollanam-do, announced that it will strengthen non-face-to-face communication to spread understanding and empathy as various events and meetings were canceled and opportunities for face-to-face contact among employees decreased due to COVID-19.
The county plans to create a vibrant workplace culture of respect and consideration through encouragement messages to all employees and in-office encouragement broadcasts.
Employee encouragement messages are collected on free topics such as words that give strength to colleagues, quotes or phrases that one holds as a belief, and hopeful messages, and every morning, messages are delivered to all employees under the sender’s name.
On the last Friday of every month, encouragement broadcasts in a radio format are conducted through in-office broadcasting.
The in-office radio broadcast will operate programs such as asking and answering the county governor, introducing various stories, counseling on concerns, and delivering announcements to enhance understanding among employees and form empathy between seniors and juniors.
It is also expected to serve as an opportunity for all employees to share the county administration vision, helping consistent work promotion and fostering a close workplace culture.
County Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “I believe that work performance varies greatly depending on human relationships and satisfaction with the work environment,” adding, “There was a lack of communication opportunities with employees due to COVID-19, but through non-face-to-face communication methods, I will interact and empathize with employees to create a vibrant Boseong County and strive to provide higher quality administrative services to the residents.”
