View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin District, conducted an on-site inspection of flood-prone areas within the district on the 2nd, when heavy rain fell in the central region including Seoul.
First, Mayor Kim visited the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, where emergency duty was being carried out due to the heavy rain warning even on a holiday, to encourage the staff and receive reports on the local flood and storm situation.
He then visited the area near Ttukseom Recreation Area, a flood-prone zone, to personally inspect the surroundings and conduct an on-site check.
In particular, he inspected the bicycle path where the pedestrian walkway was submerged, reviewed measures to prevent additional damage, and ordered a prompt restoration.
He also visited the underwater weir under Jamsil Bridge to check the water level of the Han River, requesting that road control be possible in advance to prevent safety accidents if the water level continues to rise.
