Professors Oh and Song were recognized for their outstanding research achievements and received the paper award at the 40th Northeast Asian Cultural Studies Association and Pukyong National University Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) Project Group Spring Joint International Academic Conference held on the 28th at Pukyong National University's Future Hall.

Professor Oh was honored for his paper "English Education in Korea during the Japanese Colonial Period: Focusing on Public Secondary Schools," and Professor Song received the award for his paper "A Study on the Growth Drivers of Japan's Defense Industry: Focusing on an Empirical Analysis of the Spin-On and Spin-Off Effects between the Military and Civilian Industries."
