Park Jumin Visits Bongha Village Memorial... "We Will Achieve the Democratic Party's Era Transition"
[Asia Economy Reporter Wondara] Park Jumin, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited Bongha Village in Gimhae, where the late President Roh Moo-hyun's tomb is located, and stated, "I will achieve a generational shift for the Democratic Party."
On the afternoon of the 31st, Park wrote on his Facebook, "This morning, as a candidate for the Democratic Party leader, I paid my respects to President Roh Moo-hyun and Mrs. Kwon Yang-sook," adding, "Having met President Roh, who was always ahead of his time, I pledged to achieve not just a 'generation change' but a 'generational shift' for the Democratic Party." He emphasized, "I promised to imagine without limits and to act boldly. I believe that is why the people made the Democratic Party the overwhelming first party."
He continued, "President Roh Moo-hyun was always ahead of his time. As a lawyer, he resisted dictatorship with his whole body, and as a politician, he confronted deeply rooted regionalism," saying, "When everyone said it was impossible, he was elected president with the spirit of 'Fool Roh Moo-hyun.' He accurately grasped the era of transition and steadfastly pushed forward the spirit of the times."
Park said, "Mrs. Kwon Yang-sook warmly welcomed me," adding, "She spoke about how I had a daughter late due to my legislative activities and said that it is important to raise both the child and the Democratic Party healthily." He continued, "There is a saying that it takes a whole village to raise one child. The same goes for the Democratic Party," emphasizing, "I will build a stronger Democratic Party together with the people, one that breathes with the times."
