[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Lee Sang-ik, former mayor of Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, visited the rain damage sites in four towns and townships in the region on the morning of the 30th to inspect the emergency restoration work. Hampyeong-gun issued a heavy rain advisory around 9:10 a.m. the previous day, recording an average daily rainfall of 78.6 mm. In particular, in the Hakgyo-myeon area, localized heavy rain reached up to 32 mm per hour at one point, causing flooding of small stream embankments and some nearby farmland, resulting in various degrees of rain damage.
