Iksan City Council Budget and Accounts Committee Reviews 3rd Supplementary Budget for COVID-19 Recovery
3rd Supplementary Budget Scale 169.6 Billion Won
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] The Budget and Accounts Special Committee of Iksan City Council in Jeonbuk has begun reviewing the supplementary budget proposal to overcome COVID-19.
According to the city council on the 30th, a full-scale review of the 3rd supplementary budget proposal for 2020 requested by Iksan City started yesterday and will continue for two days.
The 3rd Budget and Accounts Special Committee is composed of Chairman Han Dong-yeon, Vice Chairman Kim Yeon-sik, and members Kim Yong-gyun, Kim Chung-young, Lim Hyung-taek, and Choi Jong-o.
The scale of the 3rd supplementary budget under review by the Budget Committee, based on the proposals submitted by each standing committee, is 169.6 billion won, with most of the increased budget expected to be used for damage recovery and strengthening quarantine measures due to the COVID-19 situation.
Chairman Han Dong-yeon of the Budget Committee stated, “We will carefully review the supplementary budget proposal to ensure that citizens' tax money is used efficiently for regional development and the welfare improvement of residents,” adding, “While actively supporting COVID-19 response projects, we plan to boldly cut unnecessary and non-essential budgets.”
Han Dong-yeon, who represents Eoyang-dong and Palbong-dong, is a re-elected council member who served as the Chair of the Health and Welfare Committee in the latter half of the 7th Iksan City Council and has consistently conducted sincere and meticulous legislative activities that have earned the trust of local residents.
