[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, will take a summer vacation from the 30th of this month to the 5th of next month.
A spokesperson for Governor Lee said on the 29th, "Since taking office in July 2018 for the 7th term of direct election, he has never had a proper vacation due to trials and other reasons," and added, "As the Supreme Court ruling was recently concluded, the aides' opinion was to relieve the mental burden and spend time recharging, so (Governor Lee) decided to take a vacation."
It is reported that Governor Lee will spend personal maintenance time without any special plans during the vacation period.
However, a 24-hour emergency contact network will be maintained to prepare for disaster situations such as COVID-19 and heavy summer rains.
