[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in presented appointment letters to Park Ji-won, Director of the National Intelligence Service, Lee In-young, Minister of Unification, and Kim Chang-ryong, Commissioner of the National Police Agency. Notably, President Moon knelt down to hand a bouquet to Director Park Ji-won's grandson. The event was attended not only by the appointees but also by their spouses and family members (daughters and grandchildren) to celebrate together.
On the morning of the 29th, President Moon presented the appointment letter to Director Park Ji-won at the Chungmugil Room of the Blue House and then handed a bouquet to his grandson. The bouquet was composed of heliotrope, symbolizing dedication and sincerity, and songak and ageratum, representing trust, conveying the message to establish the intelligence agency as a trusted institution through dedication to the people. President Moon also gave a Blue House souvenir to Director Park Ji-won's grandson.
