Motorola Still Committed to Foldables... 'Razr 2' Renderings Appear
Slimmer than the previous model with notch retained
High possibility of featuring Snapdragon 765
[Asia Economy Reporter Jinju Han] The first rendering images of Motorola's second foldable smartphone under development have appeared.
On the 28th (local time), IT tipster Evan Blass revealed images of the foldable Razr successor launching with 5G on Twitter. The silver-colored design, modeled after the Razr foldable phone, is similar to the previous model, with thinner bezels making it slimmer than its predecessor.
The product name for Motorola's second foldable phone is rumored to be 'Razr 5G' or 'Razr 2020.' The codename is 'Odyssey.' The notch at the top of the display remains, and the fingerprint scanner, previously located at the bottom, is expected to move to the side.
The camera performance, previously criticized as a drawback, will be significantly improved. The Razr 2's rear camera is expected to feature dual lenses of 48 megapixels and 20 megapixels. The previous model only had a 16-megapixel camera and was criticized for difficulty in focusing. It is expected to support 8GB of RAM and 256GB of memory.

The first Razr released as a foldable was equipped with a Snapdragon 710 processor and 6GB of RAM, but the second-generation Razr is likely to adopt the Snapdragon 765 chipset used in the 'Velvet.' While supporting 5G, it is more affordable than the Snapdragon 865, allowing for higher specifications while maintaining a price similar to the previous model.
