Kimje City and LH, Cooperation Project for Regional Revitalization Initiated
Promotion of Residential Environment Improvement Project in Industrial Complex

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] Gimje City in Jeonbuk Province and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) are joining forces to devise measures for regional revitalization.
According to the city on the 28th, Gimje City and LH have decided to promote various cooperative projects to inject new vitality into Gimje, a region at risk of population extinction, create jobs for the youth, and foster regional development.
First, they agreed to build 120 exclusive housing units for small and medium-sized enterprise workers on residential land within the Jipyeongseon Industrial Complex. In addition, in May, Gimje City and LH jointly pursued the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's public contest project to build 100 "Baekgu Job-Linked Support Housing" units to focus on nurturing the Baekgu special vehicle industry and the Smart Farm Innovation Valley project, and were selected on the 22nd.
Gimje City and LH did not limit their scope of work to improving the residential environment by simply providing housing space but agreed on the necessity of preparing regional win-win measures to restore local vitality and decided to jointly cooperate in creating a regional win-win hub complex in the future.
A Gimje City official stated, "After Vice Mayor Heo Jeon visited the LH headquarters on the 18th of last month to promote business cooperation, the head of LH's Housing Balanced Development Department met with the vice mayor on the 10th, and on the 24th, the head of LH Jeonbuk Headquarters discussed various cooperative projects for future regional win-win and revitalization measures with Mayor Park Jun-bae."
