Vice Minister Ki Jae: "Public Institutions Will Lead Crisis Overcoming with Korean New Deal"
On the 28th, 'Korean New Deal, Public Institution Performance Expansion Meeting' Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Ahn Il-hwan, Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance, emphasized on the 28th that "public institutions need to take the lead in overcoming the crisis through the Korean New Deal and leading the global economy after the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19)."
Vice Minister Ahn made these remarks at the '4th Industrial Revolution Response and Korean New Deal, Public Institution Field Performance and Expansion Meeting' held at the Korea Development Bank in Seoul. This meeting was organized to gather various ideas and opinions to strengthen public institutions' response to the 4th Industrial Revolution and maximize the achievements of the Korean New Deal.
He explained, "We must consider the situation where economic activities are shrinking and economic and social structural changes are progressing due to the spread of COVID-19." Vice Minister Ahn also added, "The government plans to select key tasks that will serve as a catalyst for changes in the Korean economy and support the resolution of various difficulties such as regulations, thereby expanding the performance creation of public institutions."
