DB Insurance Selects 5 Social Ventures for 'Traffic Environment Challenge 2nd Cohort'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] DB Insurance announced on the 28th that it has selected the final five teams for the platform-type social contribution project 'Transportation and Environment Challenge 2nd Term,' aimed at solving social issues in the transportation and environment sectors, in collaboration with the Korea Productivity Center.
From April 13 to May 22, over approximately six weeks, teams were recruited, and after document screening, the first face-to-face evaluation, and presentation assessments, five ventures were finally selected.
The selected ventures include 'Softgear,' which prevents traffic accidents near tunnels by guiding safe driving when entering and exiting highway tunnels through directional speakers; 'LBS Tech,' which developed a walking navigation service for people with mobility impairments; 'GID,' which prevents traffic accidents by restricting smartphone use while driving; 'Bluewing Motors,' which reduces pollutant emissions by converting fuel-powered motorcycles to renewable electric motorcycles; and 'LK Green,' which developed a semi-permanent humidifier purifier applying eco-friendly water filters and fine dust masks.
DB Insurance plans to provide business support funds and one-on-one accelerating support in core startup competencies such as legal affairs, taxation, accounting, and marketing to activate the businesses of the selected ventures.
