Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, Vocational High School Field Training Launch Ceremony ... Employment-Linked Education by Industrial Complex
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 27th that it will hold a launch ceremony for the Industrial Complex Corporation-Vocational High School Employment-Linked 'Field Training Support Project' at 2 p.m. on the 28th in the Yeomin Room of the Office of Education, attended by Hong Eui-rak, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, representatives from six local industrial complex management corporations, and the chairman of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Mold Industry Cooperative.
This project is a customized employment support initiative for vocational high schools, supported financially by the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education and Daegu City, with participation from six local industrial complex corporations and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Mold Industry Cooperative. This year marks its second year.
To address the difficulties faced by vocational high school (specialized high schools and Meister high schools) students in finding employment, Daegu City and the Industrial Complex Management Corporations have signed agreements since last year to actively facilitate the employment of local talents in companies within the Daegu region.
Each industrial complex corporation selects about 20 vocational high school students to provide job competency training, after which the students who complete the program will be connected to employment opportunities within companies in the complexes. In particular, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Mold Industry Cooperative, the only cooperative participating, plans to match employment for 10 member companies through 79 hours of specialized technical training focused on mold technology tailored to the hiring needs of its member companies.
