[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 27th that it will operate a non-face-to-face interactive online summer reading program for elementary school students.
This summer reading culture program will be operated in a different way from before due to the prolonged closure of libraries caused by the spread of COVID-19.
The program is designed to help students on vacation develop a close relationship with books through non-face-to-face reading guidance, and it will be conducted via the real-time interactive video channel "ZOOM," allowing participation using smartphones or PCs.
The program consists of various courses suitable for each grade, including ▲ Thinking Talk! Writing ▲ Thinking Plus! Writing ▲ I am also a Presentation King! Confidence Speech ▲ Leadership of Historical Figures Overcoming Crisis, with 8 participants per program on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applications can be made through the Dong-gu library website, and participation is completely free of charge.
