Gwangju Buk-gu Signs Agreement with Social Enterprises on 29th... Full Support Begins
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 27th that it will sign agreements with eight (preliminary) social enterprises on the 29th for the ‘2020 2nd (Preliminary) Social Enterprise Job Creation Project’ and begin full support.
This project was prepared to secure the self-sustainability of enterprises through various supports and to provide stable jobs to vulnerable groups.
Accordingly, a total of about 860 million won will be supported for eight selected companies from Gwangju City’s ‘2nd (Preliminary) Social Enterprise Job Creation Project’ contest until July 2021, including labor costs and social insurance premiums.
Administrative support will also be provided to prioritize the purchase of products and services produced by social enterprises.
Companies with excellent social value creation after the project ends will be given opportunities to participate again.
Participating companies must comply with obligations such as mandatory employment of more than 50% vulnerable groups, achieving target sales, signing standard labor contracts, and managing the attendance of participating workers, and participate in realizing social value for residents.
Buk-gu plans to conduct regular guidance and inspections to prevent fraudulent receipt of support funds and enhance transparency in accounting.
