ISO 45001 is an international safety and health management system newly established in March 2018 through the International Labour Organization (ILO) agreement to identify organizational safety and health risks and prevent safety and health accidents. It is characterized by requiring not only leadership from top management but also the participation of all executives, employees, and workers in safety and health management activities. ISO 14001, established in 1996, has undergone two revisions of its standard requirements and is currently certified under the latest 2015 standard for environmental management systems.
After obtaining the ‘KOSHA 18001’ and ‘OHSAS-18001’ certifications in 2019 and striving to improve safety and health, Samyang Foods completed the acquisition of integrated ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications this year from the domestic certification body, KSR Certification Institute.
