Gyeongbuk Province Receives Minister of Health and Welfare Award for Two Senior Customized Care Service Centers
Included Among 15 Awarded Institutions Out of 647 Nationwide
About 250 employees of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government, including Governor Lee Cheol-woo, participating in the "Thanks Challenge" on May 6.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 26th that two elderly customized care service agencies in the province received Minister’s Awards at the Elderly Customized Care Service Project Reporting Conference hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare on the 24th.
The event was held with only essential personnel attending in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, and was broadcast live through the YouTube channel of the Central Elderly Care Support Agency, the Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone.
Among the 647 elderly customized care service agencies nationwide that participated in this project reporting conference, two agencies from the province were included among the 15 award-winning agencies. Gyeongsan City Home Care Support Center received an encouragement award in the excellent program category, and Gimcheon Elderly Welfare Center won the grand prize in the excellent video category.
Gyeongsan City Home Care Support Center’s “Life Safety Education Delivery” program was evaluated as contributing to raising safety awareness and expanding social networks by linking with institutions such as the police station, fire station, and mental health center.
Selected as the best video agency, Gimcheon Elderly Welfare Center produced a YouTube promotional video titled “Ssingssing Customized Song” in an interview format with workers and elderly people, making the elderly customized care service familiar and inducing interest while allowing viewers to enjoy both promotion and entertainment.
Kim Jin-hyun, Director of the Welfare and Health Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, said, “The award at this project reporting conference has proven the excellence of the local elderly customized care service,” and added, “I sincerely thank the city and county agencies and workers who are fully committed to the project despite the difficulties caused by the prolonged COVID-19 during the first year of implementing the elderly customized care service.”
