A petitioner, who identified himself as the victim’s second older brother, wrote on the Blue House National Petition Board on the 24th, stating, "There are scars on my younger brother’s body from torture with hot water, a baseball bat, a golf club, and more," and explained in detail the criminals’ acts, saying, "The burn on his head was caused by the perpetrators using a torch to set fire."
He continued, "Even though my brother had no strength in his body, he crawled away to escape, but the perpetrators followed him," adding, "They tortured him by injuring his head with a torch."
The petitioner claimed, "They stabbed and stirred with a needle used for checking pulse points, causing necrosis of the triceps on my brother’s arm, which disappeared," and "I met the perpetrators once before they were fully detained, but they showed no remorse at all."
He emphasized, "I hope the perpetrators receive life imprisonment. We must prevent a second victim from occurring," and added, "There is no need to protect the human rights of such perpetrators." The petition received over 1,800 endorsements on the same day.
On the 20th, the victim’s father, Mr. A, appeared on a radio broadcast to explain the victim’s physical condition. At that time, Mr. A said, "Even after nearly a month of treatment, pus is still flowing from his arms, legs, and head," and lamented, "When I first saw my son’s horrific condition, I was speechless and couldn’t even cry."
He also urged for strict punishment, saying, "If those perpetrators are released, there is a risk of a second victim," and "They should be punished so severely that they cannot get out of prison."
