Gwangju Dong-gu, Recruiting Learners for Lifelong Learning Specialization Project Participation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 24th that it is recruiting learners to participate in the 'Lifelong Learning City Specialization Project.'
Recently, Dong-gu is experiencing an increase in vacant and old houses more than ever due to active urban regeneration projects and the rise of single-person households such as elderly and young households.
The newly established 'Home Repair Academy' is expected to provide residents with an opportunity to learn home repair skills that were once considered difficult, such as toilet and faucet repairs, lighting replacement, and tool usage, as well as acquire essential skills for daily life through various remodeling information.
In addition to the 'Home Repair Academy,' the specialized courses will include differentiated lectures such as the 'Men's Chorus,' which once gained great popularity through broadcasts, and 'Urban Sketch,' which captures scenes from the city's cafes, markets, and everyday life of people.
The recruitment period is from the 27th of this month to the 14th of next month, recruiting a total of 70 learners for three courses, and all courses are free of charge.
Applicants can download the application form from the Dong-gu Office website and submit it via fax or email.
