Yu Chaeyoung was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer on July 24, 2014, and passed away while undergoing treatment. As the 6th anniversary approaches, fans who miss Yu Chaeyoung continue to express their condolences.
Yu Chaeyoung's husband, Kim Juhwan, posted a heartfelt message titled "I miss you, Chaeyoung" on a fan cafe last February, showing his deep affection for the late artist. Since 2014, Kim has posted messages filled with longing every year on Yu Chaeyoung's death anniversary.
The late Yu Chaeyoung married Kim Juhwan in 2008. The two developed from longtime friends into lovers and got married, reportedly sharing a special bond.
Actress Kim Hyun-joo, a close friend of the late Yu Chaeyoung, once said on a talk show, "Yu Chaeyoung was a bit clumsy, but the man who loved even those sides of her was her husband."

The late Yu Chaeyoung debuted in 1989 as a member of the group Punsudeul, and from 1994, she was active as a member of the co-ed group Cool.
