[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The nonprofit public interest foundation 'Beautiful Store,' which practices sharing and recycling, has opened a branch inside Yeonsu-gu Office in Incheon.
Beautiful Store, which began operations on the 23rd, is a reuse sharing store that sells items donated by citizens and products from social enterprises, with over 110 locations nationwide.
Operating hours are from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding Sundays and public holidays. The store accepts both purchases and donations, and the proceeds are used to support the economic independence of underprivileged neighbors in the local community.
To commemorate the opening, partner companies such as LG Household & Health Care and Andar have donated items. Donations are accepted through the Beautiful Store website (www.bstore.org), by calling 1577-1113, or directly at the Beautiful Store Yeonsu-gu Office branch.
A representative of the Beautiful Store Yeonsu-gu Office branch stated, "By donating items that I no longer need but can be useful to others to Beautiful Store, we can protect the environment through reuse and help those in need." They added, "We will continue to practice greater sharing and recycling together with the residents of Yeonsu-gu."
Meanwhile, the Yeonsu-gu Office branch is recruiting university student volunteers to work at the sharing store. Volunteers must be able to work at least 32 hours in total, with shifts divided into morning (10:30 AM to 2:00 PM) and afternoon (2:00 PM to 6:00 PM), once a week for 4 hours or more.
