Gyeonggi Office of Education to Implement 'Work from Home' Starting on the 27th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will implement a telecommuting system starting from the 27th of this month for local government employees belonging to the headquarters, education support offices, and affiliated institutions.
Telecommuting is limited to employees performing tasks eligible for remote work according to the 'Guidelines for Telecommuting Operation for Local Government Employees under the Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education.' To telecommute, a basic environment must be established, and considering the characteristics of each department's work, individuals will telecommute at least one day per week.
Kim Seon-tae, General Affairs Manager of the Gyeonggi Office of Education, explained the purpose of introducing telecommuting, saying, "As telecommuting is spreading due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, the Office of Education is proactively implementing this to create a flexible working environment within the public sector."
