Yeonggwang-gun Operates e-Mobility Related Education Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) and the Korea Smart E-Mobility Association announced on the 23rd that they have been operating an education program to train e-mobility specialists since the 20th.
The county was selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project' this year and is conducting theoretical, functional, and practical training related to e-mobility for 22 trainees over two months until September 25.
The domestic e-mobility industry is growing at an average annual rate of over 25%, and it is expected that more than 10,000 new jobs will be created within five years. However, even e-mobility companies within the county are currently experiencing a severe labor shortage due to difficulty in finding related job seekers.
It is expected that the demand for specialized personnel will increase further due to the establishment of knowledge industry centers and the settlement of related companies.
The county opened an e-mobility-related education and training program to resolve job mismatches, and local trainees are expected to be employed by related companies.
In addition, to continuously foster high-level talent in the e-mobility industry, Donggang University is promoting the establishment of an industrial complex campus project.
They expect to cultivate specialized personnel suitable for the demand of the e-mobility industry, thereby alleviating corporate labor shortages and creating local jobs.
