[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho, which provided the self-directed learning support online solution ‘Seocho Hongong Project (Studying Alone)’ to help anxious high school seniors and their parents during COVID-19, has now taken on the challenge of resolving concerns about the 2021 college entrance early admission process.
Seocho-gu (Mayor Eunhee Cho) will hold the ‘2021 College Entrance Early Admission Support Strategy Briefing Session’ on the 27th at 4 p.m. for high school seniors and their parents preparing to submit early admission applications.
The district organized this briefing session to provide accurate information and effective college entrance strategies for the 2021 academic year early admission process, aiming to assist high school seniors and parents who are experiencing unprecedented confusion due to COVID-19.
This admission briefing will be conducted as a live broadcast on YouTube via the ‘Seocho Hongong Project’ channel, featuring college entrance experts.
The first part of the briefing will be presented by Seokrok Lee, a public admissions officer (former admissions officer at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies), on the topic ‘Everything about the Comprehensive Student Record Screening.’ The second part will feature podcast hosts Seunghan Kang and Seunghae Choi from ‘Admission King,’ discussing ‘The Early Admission Application Roadmap for Success in 2021 College Entrance and Resolving Questions through Real-time Comments.’
On-site attendance is also possible at Yangjae Library, where the live broadcast will take place. For on-site attendance, 30 parents of high school seniors can apply in advance on a first-come, first-served basis through the Seocho-gu Education Support Center website by the 25th.
Attendees at the on-site briefing must strictly comply with quarantine prevention rules, including temperature checks, health status verification, and electronic entry log confirmation upon entry.
After the briefing, the video will be posted on the ‘Seocho Hongong Project’ YouTube channel for students who could not watch the live broadcast.
Additionally, the district offers personalized 1:1 consulting with professional admissions consultants remotely (via video or phone) at four Seocho-gu Education Support Centers (Seocho, Bangbae, Banpo Jamwon, Yangjae Naegok). Up to 1,000 students can receive free expert career and academic planning, including individual early admission support strategies.
Applications can be made through the Seocho-gu Education Support Center website.
