[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Orion announced on the 23rd that ‘Orion Jeju Yongamsu’ has received confirmation of nutritional content and safety from a testing agency designated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Orion Jeju Yongamsu requested product testing from a U.S. FDA-designated testing agency and confirmed that there were no hygiene issues, with nutritional content such as calcium and potassium verified across a total of 22 items and no pathogenic microorganisms detected. Having confirmed safety from an overseas testing agency, Orion is now able to strengthen its entry into overseas markets such as China and Vietnam.
In addition to undergoing inspections from domestic and international quality analysis agencies, Orion is thoroughly managing quality by conducting its own water quality tests on over 90 items. Going forward, Orion plans to request water quality tests from internationally accredited institutions at least once a year to enhance the reliability and global competitiveness of Orion Jeju Yongamsu.
Orion Jeju Yongamsu is a premium mineral water with increased mineral content designed for modern people experiencing mineral deficiencies. The source water, ‘Yongamsu,’ is seawater naturally filtered through volcanic rock layers and seeps into the land’s underground, making it rich in minerals and a clean water resource with almost no organic matter or pathogens. Since launching sales across all online and offline channels in June, Orion Jeju Yongamsu has received high consumer response, surpassing 1.5 million bottles sold within a month. Based on its excellent product quality, it has also begun full-scale global market expansion into China and Vietnam.
