According to Japanese foreign media such as NHK on the 22nd, as of 6:30 PM that day, the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Japan, including 712 passengers from the cruise ship 'Diamond Princess,' increased to 27,865.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Japan on this day is the highest in over three months since April 11, when a state of emergency was declared, requesting people to refrain from going out and businesses to close, recording 720 cases. In Tokyo, 238 new cases were reported, bringing the cumulative total to 10,054.
