Korea Gyeonggi Province Corporation announced on the 22nd that it has finalized three pilot service areas for the 'Public Delivery App Construction Project' (tentative name), which is being promoted to enhance the convenience of residents' lives and protect the rights and interests of small business owners: Hwaseong, Osan, and Paju.
Earlier, the Gyeonggi Province Corporation held a public contest last month for pilot areas of the public delivery app across 31 cities and counties in the province.
Six areas, including Hwaseong, Osan, Paju, Siheung, Pocheon, and Gwangju, submitted applications for the pilot areas.
The province will sign a multilateral business agreement with consortium operators and others for the successful promotion of the public delivery app in the three selected pilot areas early next month.
The province aims to launch the public delivery app in October.
Lee Seok-hoon, CEO of Gyeonggi Province Corporation, stated, "We will strive to ensure that a high-quality public delivery app can be expanded to all areas within the province through stable service operation experience in the pilot areas."
Seo Cheol-mo, Mayor of Hwaseong, promised, "We will encourage active participation from merchants and consumers to promote a virtuous cycle in the local economy."
