View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 21st that it held the '2020 Safety Leader Workshop' in the form of a video conference.
To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the workshop was conducted in a non-face-to-face (untact) manner from the headquarters and affiliated institutions' video conference rooms. About 150 people attended, including President Son Byung-seok, executives, affiliated managers nationwide, and field workers.
KORAIL divided the workshop participants into three groups: safety practitioners, managers, and executives, to share major safety issues and discuss for a long time about industrial accident prevention and measures to improve accidents and failures. In particular, based on data analysis, they conducted an in-depth analysis of the recent safety accident status and collected opinions by field on ▲ major occupational injuries and measures to prevent industrial accidents in contracted construction ▲ ways to improve vehicle maintenance quality ▲ and measures to ensure the safety of track workers.
KORAIL plans to find ways to reflect the improvements and ideas derived from the workshop in the field and strengthen safety activities focused on proactive prevention.
