[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Jo Young-shin] Foreigners entering China by air will now be required to submit a negative test certificate for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Sina.com and others on the 21st, the Civil Aviation Administration of China announced that all passengers entering China must submit a negative COVID-19 test certificate taken within 5 days prior to boarding their flight.
Accordingly, air passengers visiting China must undergo nucleic acid testing at medical institutions designated by the Chinese diplomatic missions in their departure locations.
Foreign passengers must submit the negative certificate to the Chinese diplomatic mission in their country of residence and obtain a "Health Status Certificate" before they can board the flight.
