Gyeonggi-do Presents Appreciation Plaque to KINTEX, a Model Exhibition Hall for K-Quarantine
[Asia Economy (Goyang) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province recently presented a plaque of appreciation to Kintex, which has been recognized as a model K-quarantine exhibition center by overseas exhibition organizations and the media.
On the 21st, Lee Yong-cheol, Vice Governor for Administration 2 of the province, visited Kintex in Goyang to encourage CEO Lim Chang-yeol and other executives and employees, and took time to listen to their achievements, difficulties, and suggestions.
In particular, Vice Governor Lee presented a plaque of appreciation to CEO Lim Chang-yeol for his contributions to Kintex's growth into a world-class exhibition facility, leading in K-quarantine excellence and the exhibition industry sector.
Originally, Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung was scheduled to visit for the plaque presentation. However, due to his visit to the fire site at the Yongin logistics center, Vice Governor Lee attended on his behalf.
Kintex has focused on minimizing damage to the domestic exhibition industry by establishing and implementing proactive quarantine management measures in response to the cancellation and postponement of many domestic and international exhibitions due to the spread of COVID-19.
Measures include four-level access control to the exhibition hall, thorough management of visitor information through a QR code access management system, mandatory wearing of masks and vinyl gloves, installation of social distancing markers for visitors, management of the number of visitors per hour, disinfection and quarantine inside and outside the exhibition hall, and operation of air conditioning systems that introduce 100% outside air to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Additionally, Kintex has installed a non-face-to-face (Untact) 'permanent video consultation center' inside the exhibition hall until next month.
