On the 21st, Minister Choo wrote on her social media service (SNS) Facebook account, "An impeachment motion has been filed, naming me as the protagonist of 'persecution'," and argued that the rise in housing prices is not the responsibility of the current government.
Minister Choo emphasized, "The economic system where real estate mortgages the lives of ordinary people was created long ago by construction capitalists. It was not created by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport under the Moon Jae-in administration."

She continued, "We are well aware of the real estate success stories where someone wins an auction for a property with a few hundred million won, uses that property as collateral to get a loan from a savings bank to pay the balance, then makes tens of billions in capital gains before selling it as an apartment development site," adding, "Those who envy that and those who have participated or want to participate in that group would not want apartment prices to fall."
